1. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JULIAN ASSANGE, WIKILEAKS FOUNDER, SAYING:
"The DOJ's (Department of Justice) weasel words are designed to split off national security reporters from those reporters simply report the contents of a press conference. National security reporters are required by their profession to have intimate interactions in order to assess and verify and investigate the nature of the material that they are dealing with. So I call on Eric Holder today to immediately drop the ongoing national security investigation against WikiLeaks or resign."
2. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JULIAN ASSANGE, WIKILEAKS FOUNDER, SAYING:
"The situation for Edward Snowden is now such that his asylum is up for renewal in just under two months in Russia. We believe that if his asylum quest is supported it will be successfully renewed but other countries should step forward to assist him in that."
3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JULIAN ASSANGE, WIKILEAKS FOUNDER, SAYING:
"Mr. Obama, you must surely now start to reflect on what your legacy will be after two Presidential turns. It must be at odds with a former professor of constitutional law to have a legacy that not only involves the construction of extrajudicial kill lists of individuals including American citizens. But a legacy of being the president who conducted more espionage acts, investigations against journalists and their sources than all previous presidents combined going to back to 1917 and the original issuance of the Espionage Act."
4. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JULIAN ASSANGE, WIKILEAKS FOUNDER, SAYING:
"The greatest concern for me is the intelligence gathering that the British police are doing on my visitors to the embassy aggressively demanding their names and identity details frequently as they ingress or egress from the embassy. Obviously as a investigative journalist dealing with sensitive documents and with staff under threat that creates difficulties for me in my ongoing position."
